Senior Avery Guenther was honored as a Peacemaker Award winner at Clark State College’s 34th annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration on January 12! The annual Peacemaker Awards are presented to local high school students recognized for their ability to resolve conflict in a positive way and assist in bridging cultural and social differences within their schools. Avery was chosen because of the following accolades: “She exudes kindness, finds way to help others, is on the swim team, soccer team, a service day and retreat leader, a lifeguard, ranked number three in her class and holds a 4.3 GPA. She plans to attend college to study nursing or special education.” Congratulations, Avery!
