Catholic Central is thrilled to welcome Erin Mullins as our new Athletic Director!

Erin currently resides in Kettering with her dog, Mitch, who is a rescue from Our Farm Sanctuary. Most recently, Erin served as the Associate Athletic Director for Dayton Public Schools, where she was responsible for the athletic operations of three high schools in a multi-school district, serving over 1,900 student-athletes. She is looking forward to contributing to the mission and vision of Catholic Central; making connections with student-athletes, parents, alumni, and coaches; and working to provide a great athletic experience for our student-athletes, beginning with a successful spring season.

Erin is a 2007 graduate of Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School, where she is a school record holder, 4-year varsity letter winner, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2019. From 2016 to 2021, Erin served as the University of South Carolina Assistant Swim Coach, where she coached the men’s 200 free relay to the highest SEC and NCAA finish in school history. Erin also served as the assistant coach of the University of Richmond Spiders Swim Program, winning the Atlantic 10 title in 2014-15 and 2015-16. Before her time at Richmond, Erin spent a year at Division III Amherst College in Massachusetts, where she served as recruiting coordinator while planning, developing, and overseeing the dry land training for the squad, which finished second for both men and women at the 2014 NESCAC Championships.

Erin graduated summa cum laude from the University of Cincinnati in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership, where she lettered four times and captained the Bearcats for two seasons. While at the University of Cincinnati, Erin was also a two-time Big East Championship finalist, a four-time All-Big East Academic Team member, and a recipient of the NCAA FAR Award. Following her success at the University of Cincinnati, she obtained a master’s degree in sport management in 2013 from Indiana State University while coaching for two seasons at DePauw University, earning third place in the program’s first two seasons in the North Coast Athletic Conference. While at DePauw, she was an attendee of the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar.

Erin’s hobbies include reading mysteries & thrillers, running, and photography.From Erin: “I am extremely excited and humbled to have the opportunity to join the Catholic Central team.
