Catholic Central Student Ambassadors Spread Holiday Cheer to Local First-Responders

On Tuesday, December 13, forty-five student ambassadors from Catholic Central School decorated over 1,000 cookies donated by current parents and families.

Several student ambassadors then delivered them to local fire departments, police stations, hospitals, and nursing homes last week.

The Catholic Central community wanted to give back in a different way to these men and women who sacrifice being with their loved ones.

“As we all know, people that work in these capacities are often away from their families for extended periods of time – especially around the holidays – which can be very tough. We thought it was important to give the first-responders a token of our appreciation for protecting and serving Springfield residents,” said Marlena Hoendorf, Director of Enrollment and Marketing at Catholic Central.

Catholic Central wishes everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
