As you know, after several health setbacks this past year, David Fuller ultimately determined that it would not be in his best interest to return to his position as President of Catholic Central. While we were very disappointed to lose his leadership, his health is everyone’s first priority. He is progressing well and appreciates your many thoughts and prayers.

The Board of Trustees immediately convened a search to find our new President to continue and build upon the strong path that David established here. During the search process, Tim Fogarty took a break from his retirement to serve us admirably as Interim President; we cannot express how much we appreciate his dedication to his alma mater! Now that we have completed a deliberate and prayerful search process, we are excited to share with you that Michael Raiff will become President of Catholic Central on June 1, 2020.

Mike’s experience combines impressive accomplishments in both business and Catholic education. Most recently, Mike served as the Director of Development at Bishop Fenwick High School, where he annually raised significant resources in support, while building a robust program of alumni engagement. He also led efforts to secure the resources to begin the rebuild and enhancement of the campus and infrastructure of the school. Previously, he served as Fenwick’s Director of Finance and Operations, so he brings to us a unique combination of strength in both fundraising and fiscal management. He initially served Chaminade Julienne as their Athletic Director, so we know that Central’s athletic tradition is in good hands!

Mike also brings a successful career in business, primarily in the pet food industry, including building and operating facilities while growing sales volume. Through his visionary leadership, Raiff has guided both corporate and educational organizations to long-term success and sustainability, by increasing revenues while streamlining operations and increasing profits.

Mike is a proud graduate of Catholic education from elementary school through high school. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati and received his MBA from the University of Notre Dame in 2010. He completed the Young Executives Institute of the University of North Carolina and is a member of the Chaminade Julienne High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Mike and his wife, Mary, are the proud parents of 4 children; Michael (30), Samantha (28), Patrick (25), and Mia (22), all proud graduates of Catholic high schools.

The Board is confident that Mike is exactly the right person to lead Catholic Central to new levels of service to our students, our alumni, and our community. His energy and his commitment to our mission are contagious!

Please join me in welcoming Mike to the Catholic Central Family.
