Letter from Junior/Senior High School Principal
Welcome to Irish Country! As principal of Catholic Central Junior/Senior High School, I would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to our new website. Whether you are a current or prospective parent or student that will joining our family this fall, or an alumnus of Catholic Central, you'll find the most up to date information right here at your fingertips!
It is a time of growth for Catholic Central, and we are so fortunate and blessed to see the tremendous resurgence of interest in Catholic education. We attribute the growth to many factors, including our exceptional graduation rate of nearly 100% over the last five years. That percentage parallels the number of graduates that go on to pursue higher education at many of the finest colleges and universities in the country. And though many of our students are Catholic, we welcome those of all faiths and ethnic backgrounds.
Catholic Central has enjoyed a tradition of providing academic excellence to students for 80 years. Though many changes have transpired over eight decades, our commitment has never wavered. Much of the credit goes to the many supporters and donors that have so graciously given of their time and resources, but also to those who believe in the benefits of a faith-based education.
We are now seeing fourth and fifth generation students attending and graduating from Catholic Central. It is gratifying to see the fruits of their labor result in successful careers and in everyday life, because our goal is to foster "whole person excellence" in mind, body and spirit.
For years, we have searched for the right words to describe the Catholic Central "difference." Though simply stated, it is called Getting Centered. As we look forward to a new year of learning, fellowship and spiritual renewal, it is appropriate to give thanks to God for all of our blessings, the most important being our children.
Thank you for entrusting our faculty and staff to serve you and your family. Please remember that my door is always open whether you are a parent, student, or alumnus of Catholic Central. I stand firmly behind our commitment to academic excellence and building lifelong community while remaining rooted in the Catholic faith. We strongly believe that our students are our purpose, our product and our pride!
Warmest regards,
Patrick Finneran, Principal
