Dear Friends in Christ,

For over 160 years, Catholic schools in the greater Springfield area have embraced the challenges of providing an authentic Catholic education filled with academic rigor, respect and love of every child, and spiritual opportunities to help deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ. Though our society has changed to become increasingly fragmented and polarized, Catholic Central remains a family community where honesty and integrity matter, humor and hard work are equally important values, where the process of education is as important as the grade, and developing a spiritual foundation is central to the well-rounded child.

Located in Springfield, OH, community engagement is paramount where students gain faith-sharing, service, and leadership opportunities designed to help them better discern their God-given gifts and talents that will support future aspirations. We are a school community of high expectations, academic and otherwise, but we are strongly devoted to helping students develop the moral, spiritual, academic, and physical potential that will help change their lives.

Essential to our efforts to build a faith-filled, intellectual community is our dedicated faculty and staff. From preschool through grade 12, our faculty and staff are strongly devoted to the success of each child, serving as teachers, coaches, advisors, mentors, and spiritual guides. We are proud, yet humble, of our successes both inside and outside of our schools. Catholic Central High School remains one of the top 50 academic high schools in Ohio. This not only gives evidence of the strength of our high school, but it also shows the support and guidance that students receive early in their elementary years.

The primary mission in our schools is to support and strengthen our unique, Catholic identity which includes embracing children of our parishes and children of all faith traditions. Catholic Central School is also available for families regardless of economic condition. With the support of our parishes, generous alumni, and community organizations, Catholic education will remain available for all of God’s children. We hope that you will visit our schools and strongly consider giving your children the gift of a Catholic education, the gift that lasts a lifetime.

Faithfully Yours in Christ,

Dr. Kenith C. Britt, President
